Today one of the most hilarious individuals passed away of supposed suicide due to depression. This is the second death/suicide that has occurred recently that I know of due to depression.
Last weekend I had an anxiety attack- where I couldn’t feel my body and was immobile due to lack of oxygen from hyperventilation. Since high school, I have been diagnosed with anxiety problems and somewhat depression issues. There is my confession, something I never wanted to share with anyone but feel that it is necessary to openly accept and own it.
Robin Williams can be an example on how sometimes the people who are least expected to have these issues, are the ones who have them. It isn’t because there is something bad going on… or whether we don’t have food on our plate.. etc. It is a mental state that can make an individual feel so vulnerable. So to end this share of words, don’t judge someone until you have stepped into their shoes. We are all going through battles which can never be comparable but amount to the same exact burden on ones shoulders.
And if anything, pure respect for individuals is always necessary. No matter who they are- it’s simple. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Understand before you judge. Listen before you speak.
And on the other side, it can all be controlled. I am currently reading this book called The Obstacle is the Way, def an awesome read. Stay open, learn who are there for you, and learn what is the best positive/progressive outlet out there.
